DIY 3D Scanner - Fall 2017
In this project, my partner and I constructed and programmed a rudimentary 3D scanner using a pan/tilt mechanism, infrared distance sensor and servo motors. We were able to successfully scan an object of known, well-defined geometry and visualize the output using Matlab, SolidWorks, and Arduino.  In this project, I was responsible for the creating the mechanical pan and tilt mechanism. All in all, working on this project enabled me to combine my skills in linear algebra, as well as refining and revisiting my mechanical design technique. ​
